The report

The report is the customer’s record of the visit and the basis for the certificate, the quote and your company’s purchase order. It’s filled in on site, on the phone, and sent as you go — there’s no paperwork afterwards.

Photos. The boiler or appliance, the data plate, the fault, and the fix. Take them as you go; the app uploads in the background. Photos of the sticker go on the certificate.

The questions. A short set for the category — did you check this, what was the reading, is it safe. Yes / No / Visual where it’s an inspection. They’re the same questions every time so you’ll know them by the third job.

Notes. What you found and what you did, in plain words. The customer reads this.

Times. Arrival is taken when you pressed Arrived. Departure is when you submit.

You can leave a report half done and come back to it — press Finish later. It’s saved on the phone. But submit the same day: the customer, the certificate and your company’s PO all wait on it.

Submit report. It goes to PlusHeat, to your manager’s Books, and to the customer. Done.
